Single Winder/ Quarter Turn Staircases

A Single Winder Staircase, also known as a Quarter Turn Staircase, is a clever design that allows the staircase to change direction by 90 degrees, whether going up or down. This is typically achieved with either a quarter landing or a single kite winder, a tapered step that helps create a smooth and compact turn. Ideal for homes where space is at a premium, offering both style and functionality. With their ability to maximise floor space while maintaining a visually appealing flow, single-winder staircases are a practical and elegant solution for modern and traditional homes alike.

Double Winder Staircases

A Double Winder Staircase is a sophisticated solution for homes where space efficiency and aesthetics are equally important. This design incorporates two 90-degree turns, typically in the form of tapered steps or winders, to create a seamless flow between floors. Unlike straight staircases, the double winder adds architectural interest while making better use of available space.

These staircases are perfect for compact areas or where a more dramatic visual impact is desired. They eliminate the need for large landings, allowing the staircase to remain a striking yet functional feature of your home.
